My goal is to empower each person to take charge of their health and well-being and guide them on their journey to optimal health and harmony.

During our consultation, we will focus on understanding your unique constitution and needs through the following steps:

  1. Dosha Assessment: We will begin by identifying your dominant dosha (Prakruti) and any current imbalances (Vikruti). This personalized approach allows us to tailor recommendations specifically to you.

  2. Lifestyle Adjustments: Based on your dosha assessment, I will suggest practical lifestyle changes that can help restore the mind-body balance. These may include:

    • Diet: Recommendations for foods that align with your dosha to promote health and well-being.

    • Daily Routine: Tips for creating a daily schedule that supports your natural rhythms and enhances overall wellness.

    • Yoga: Suggested yoga poses and practices that are beneficial for your specific needs.

    • Breathing Exercises (Pranayama): Techniques to help calm the mind and balance the body’s energy.

  3. Meditation: Techniques to quiet the mind, reduce stress, and foster inner peace.
    These therapies aim to support the body’s innate healing processes.

  4. Holistic Guidance: My goal is to provide comprehensive support, helping you integrate these adjustments into your life in a way that is practical and sustainable.
     

Please note that as a wellness instructor, I do not prescribe medicines. My approach is centred around natural therapies and lifestyle modifications that promote holistic health.

Ayurveda's Approach to Health & Healing

​Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle changes and natural therapies to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit and environment.  The key principles of Ayurveda are:

  • Holistic Approach: Ayurveda treats the individual as a whole, considering physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.  It aims to address the root cause of illness.

  • Preventive Care: Emphasis is on maintaining health through prevention rather than curing disease.

  • Personalization: Treatment and practices are tailored to the individual’s constitution, taking into account their unique dosha balance.

There is no “one size fits all” prescription for well-being.  Each person's health is based on an individual's mind-body constitution (primary dosha or prakruti), state of balance or imbalance (vikruti), and the needs that derive from this. 

 

Ayurveda recognizes that each of us is a unique blend of space, air, fire, water, and earth or Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.  By understanding our dominant dosha, we gain insights into our physical tendencies, mental inclinations, and emotional patterns.  With this knowledge, we can tailor our lifestyle choices to maintain balance. ​​​
